The short version: Thirstypals keeps everything on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal data. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no advertising.

Who we are

Thirstypals ("the app", "we", "us") is a hydration tracking app with a virtual pet. This policy explains how the app handles information when you use it.

Information the app stores

To provide its features, the app stores the following locally on your device only:

• Hydration logs you create (drink type, amount, and timestamps)
• Your hydration goal, preferred units, and app settings
• Progress data such as streaks, challenges, in-app Paw Stars, and unlocked pets and backgrounds
• Reminder and notification preferences

This data is saved on your device using local storage (SQLite and AsyncStorage). It is never uploaded to us or to any third party.

Information we do not collect

• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or account information.
• We do not collect your location.
• We do not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs.
• We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising services.
• We do not connect to Apple Health, Google Fit, or any external health service.
• The app makes no network requests to send your data anywhere.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device to remind you to drink water. These reminders are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any server or push-messaging service. You can turn them off at any time in the app settings or your device settings.
